Welcome to the 31st Annual Charity Beerfest - 2020

The Lancaster Beer and Cider Festival will be back on the Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of March 2020 and will feature an exciting line up of Cask Ales, Cider, Craft on Draught, Lager, Wine, Gin, Prosecco and an assortment of other beverages, including soft drinks for those needing to stay sober.

Admission includes your commemorative glass, programme and a fantastic bill of live entertainment. The bands playing this year are The Howling Clowns (Thursday), Sold to the Sky (Friday) and Twentyfourseven (Saturday). Hot food and bar snacks are also available to purchase on the night.

This year’s event will take place over the weekend of 20th/21st March with current proposals including the popular ceremonial start in Garstang High Street on the Friday evening and competitive high-speed action on Saturday 21st.

The rally’s organisers represent some of the best Motor Clubs in the region and all are well versed in the art of providing tough and demanding rallies, whilst still allowing competitors and spectators a full day’s enjoyment.

'How to Paint with Pastels' – Painting Workshop with Les Darlow - Barton Grange Garden Centre


Barton Grange Garden Centre

This painting workshop is ideal if you have ever wanted to learn how to paint the landscape, or if you would like to improve the skills you already have. Although this is a pastel workshop, you can apply the techniques you will learn to any medium.

The workshop is led by professional artist Les Darlow, the UK's first Ambassador for Canson and associate artist for PanPastel and Unison Pastels. Les writes for many of the leading art magazines and paints in various mediums, specialising in pastels. He will demonstrate a range of composition techniques and will provide step by step guidance. You will gain new skills, discuss pastel equipment, and learn about tonal value.

The class will take place from 10:30am to 4:00pm in our Green Room. The price is £47 per session, including tea and coffee.Read More
